Writer’s block

Assalamu’ Alaikum

A long hiatus of course and still I have no clue on how and what to write here and how to resume the much-needed written whining session.  And of course like all my previous writings, I can label my procrastination and laziness as writer’s block.

Yeah, writer’s block – a fancy term which we usually use to hide our laziness and mask our busyness, oblivion to the blogging world. Anyway. It’s a casual post and of course, I’m going to vent out and whine about my writer’s block as well.

So for the sake of convenience let’s define it. Wikipedia defines writer’s block as,

Writer’s block is a condition, primarily associated with writing, in which an author loses the ability to produce new work or experiences a creative slowdown. The condition ranges in difficulty from coming up with original ideas to being unable to produce a work for years.

Oh! I am so glad to find the word “years” in the definition. Now I can safely say that a hiatus that extended to a couple of years is actually a writer’s block. Thank you, Wikipedia!

Tbh, now I think it’s really a writer’s block since I can’t really find a sensible topic to articulate even after a long gap. Just yesterday I was teasing a friend about her writing. Sigh! One shouldn’t be hasty and shouldn’t tease her friends at least. Keep reminded about the fact, otherwise, you can suffer from worst kind of writer’s block and then all you can do is to post a gibberish write up like me.

Anyway, folks, that’s all for now! I hope, I’ll be able to write again insha’Allah and that too something sensible and regularly. Also thank you if you have been able to read all the post until this last sentence. You’re appreciated! 🙂

Peer-e-Kamil (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ و سلم) – The Perfect Mentor

Below, I am quoting few lines from a novel called Peer-e-Kamil (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ و سلم), which are my Personal favorite!

‘In life, at sometime or another we come to a point where all relationships cease—where there is only us and Allah. There are no parents, brother or sister, or any friend. Then we realise that there is no earth under us nor is there sky above, but only Allah who is supporting us in this emptiness. Then we realise our worth – it is not more than a grain of sand or the leaf of a plant. Then we realise our existence is only confined to our being. Our demise makes not a whit of difference to the world around us, nor to the scheme of things.’
‘We come to our senses; we understand our utter insignificance.’

“Some are born virtuous, some become virtuous. To be good by nature is indeed fortunate but to become good is like walking on a double-edged sword; it takes a longer time and is more painful.”

“Sometimes in our lives we do not know whether we have emerged from darkness into light or if we are entering into the dark—the direction is unknown. But one can differentiate, in any case, between the earth and the sky. When you raise your head, it is the sky above; and when you lower it, it is the earth below—whether or not it is visible.”

I have read this novel in urdu, two years back… But now its english translation is also available!
Personally I feel – “Jo baat Urdu main hai, wo kisi aur main kahan” 😀

Hello world!

Assalamu alykum!

Welcome to my brand new blog… I love to write and read but because of my procrastinating habit, I have never been able to post regularly as I ought to… The sole purpose of creating a new blog is that to compile the thought which I have been spilling over the internet on various forums. My posts will be about, Islam,  my views and reviews about various issues and of course about Medical.
